Atomizers: Disposable, Replaceable or Rebuildable.
Which Atomizer Type Is Right For You?
Today there is an ever increasing selection of different types of atomizers available to the vaping community. This wide selection allows for greater customization of your individual vaping experience. Since each individual atomizer is different from the next you should consider the various advantages and disadvantages of each in order to decide which is right for you. One of the biggest questions someone needs to ask themselves before selecting a new atomizer is whether you prefer an atomizer that is disposable or one that uses replaceable coils or rebuildable coils. Here we will try help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of each so you can choose the atomizer that is right for you.
Disposable Atomizers
Disposable atomizers like the Innokin iClear 10 Clearomizer are usually what most people new to vaping will have their first experiences with. Commonly included with most starter kits these type of atomizers are usually inexpensive and widely available. Most often disposable atomizers are used until they are hard to draw air though or until they start to gurgle signaling it is time to replace the entire atomizer. These atomizers are inexpensive making them easy and quick to replace if damaged, lost, or when it reaches the end of its useful lifespan. Since the entire atomizer gets replaced each time over a long period of time they are often more costly than the initially more expensive counterparts which use non-disposable atomizers with replaceable or rebuildable coils. Since these atomizers are intended for frequent replacement they often lack features commonly found on reusable atomizers making it often difficult to change flavors. Also resulting in a lack of flavor and vapor production. Although not for everybody these atomizers are great for the new vaper trying to decide if vaping is right for them.
Replaceable Coil Head Atomizers
Atomizers with replaceable coils like the FreeMax Mesh Pro Sub-Ohm Tank or SMOK TFV12 Prince Sub-Ohm Tank are arguably the most commonly used atomizers today. These atomizers generally utilize replaceable coil heads that in most cases screw in and out of the device for easy replacement. Although these typically cost more than their disposable counterparts they usually also have several features not found on their less expensive cousins. Features such as airflow control valves and pyrex glass tubes result in greater flavor and vapor production. These atomizers can also be easily washed out to change flavors on the fly. The cost of replacement coils over time will certainly save you money when compared to their disposable counterparts. With the recent release of several sub-ohm atomizers like the Kanger TOPTANK Mini Cleamorizer and Uwell Rafale Sub-Ohm Tank there is an even greater selection of these atomizers than ever. However if you are looking for a more highly customizable vaping experience, enjoy tinkering, or working with your hands you might want to consider rebuildable atomizers.
Rebuildable Atomizers
Rebuildable atomizers like Wotofo Bravo RTA or Dead Rabbit SQ RDA by Hellvape and Heathen offer the most highly customizable vaping experience. These atomizers are also capable of the greatest vapor and flavor production. Although the initial cost for this type of atomizer and rebuilding supplies are often higher than other types of atomizers, over a long period of time these are also the most cost effective. Rebuilding atomizers and building your own coils does have a learning curve and some people might find rebuildable atomizers to take up too much time, initial investment or effort. Rebuilding atomizers is often considered to be only for advanced vapers but in truth most rebuildable atomizers actually are relatively easy to use. With a little care, knowledge, and a little practice many people find them simple to use and easy to rebuild. Different resistance coils, coil sizes, wire sizes, and wicking material each will give a different vaping experience and only you can decide which works best for you. If you decide to try a rebuildable atomizers there are a few things you will require to get started. Resistance wire (usually kanthal or NiChrome).
